BloFin Prop Firm: How to Get a Funded Account on BloFin

If you already trade perpetual futures on BloFin, a funded account there can look like the natural next step. The funding comes from a prop firm rather than from the exchange. A prop firm is a company that tests traders and pays them a share of the profit they make. On BloFin it runs that test on your own demo account.
Two things decide whether this works for you, and you can check both before you pay. BloFin's own terms say which countries' residents may use the exchange, and the firm's challenge rules say what you have to achieve on the account.
Key takeaways
- A BloFin funded account comes from a prop firm that runs its challenge on your own BloFin demo account, connected by API, and pays you a share of the profit.
- BloFin's terms do not allow residents of the United States, Canada, India and a list of other countries, so check yours first.
- The setup needs a BloFin API key with demo trading permissions, the firm's IP addresses on the key's whitelist, and the key, secret and passphrase pasted into the challenge.
- A BloFin challenge offers fewer coins than the live exchange, because BloFin's demo environment lists fewer contracts.
What is a BloFin prop firm?
A BloFin prop firm is a company that runs its challenge and its funded account on your own BloFin demo account, connected by API. You trade on BloFin's screens, while the firm checks every trade against its rules and pays you a share of the profit. It works much like a driving test taken in your own car. The controls are the ones you know, while the profit target, the loss limits and the decision to pass you belong to the firm.
The challenge is that paid test, and passing it opens a funded account (an account on which the firm pays you a share of your profit). Both run on a demo account, which uses live prices but sends no order to the exchange's order book. The trading is therefore simulated, while the payouts are real money from the firm. Losses stay on the simulated account, so a failed challenge costs you what you paid to enter it.
What you need on the BloFin side
Three things come from BloFin itself, before any firm is involved: a country BloFin accepts, a demo account and an API key. The first decides whether you can use BloFin at all, so it is the one to check before you pay for a challenge.
A country BloFin accepts
BloFin decides who may use its platform, and a demo account is still a BloFin account. Section 6 of its Terms of Use lists more than 40 restricted countries and regions whose residents may not use BloFin, among them the United States, Canada, India, China, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. Read that section for your own country before you sign up, because if it is listed, a BloFin challenge is not open to you.
A VPN does not change that, because the terms follow where you live, whatever your connection shows. Traders in those countries need a challenge with no exchange account behind it, which some firms offer on a trading platform of their own.
A BloFin demo account
The challenge runs in BloFin Demo Trading, a simulated environment with virtual funds that uses the same platform and live market data as live trading. On the website you open it from the Futures menu by choosing Demo Trading, and in the app it has its own section on the home screen.
The demo environment lists fewer contracts than the live exchange, which matters if your strategy depends on a particular coin. In October 2026, BloFin's public market data showed 83 USDT perpetual futures in demo against 503 on the live exchange. A strategy built on a smaller coin may therefore find no market to trade. BloFin calls these contracts USDT-M futures (perpetual futures with no expiry date, settled in the USDT stablecoin). Trading them on a funded account raises its own questions, from leverage to weekend holding, and the guide to perpetual futures prop trading answers them.
An API key
The link between your BloFin account and the firm runs through an API key, which is the one technical step in the setup. An API key is a code you create on BloFin's API Management page, and it lets an outside program read your account and follow your trades without your password. When you create one, BloFin also gives you a secret key and asks you to set a passphrase, and the firm needs all three to connect.
The firm will also ask you to tie the key to its server addresses (an IP whitelist), so that the key works only from those machines. That step matters, because on BloFin a key with no IP address bound to it expires after 90 days, and a challenge can run for longer than that.
Getting funded on BloFin with HyroTrader
We run HyroTrader, a crypto prop firm, and BloFin is one of five platforms our challenges run on. The others are Bybit, our own Hyro platform (no exchange account needed) and the Tealstreet and Tiger.com terminals. On BloFin your orders go into your own demo account over BloFin's API, so the prices, spreads and fees come from BloFin's demo environment rather than from us. Our dashboard reads the account in near real time and tracks your progress against each limit.
Set up the challenge
The challenge account is ready as soon as your purchase completes, and you connect BloFin during setup. Before you buy, check our own country list as well as BloFin's. Our Terms accept traders from most countries, the United States, Canada and India among them, and section 12.1 excludes close to 30 countries and regions, Russia and Iran among them.
- Buy a Zero-Step, One-Step or Two-Step challenge and pick an account size.
- In the challenge setup, choose BloFin as your platform.
- On BloFin, open API Management and create a new API key with demo trading permissions. While you create it, add the IP addresses our challenge setup shows you to the key's IP whitelist.
- Copy the API key, the secret key and the passphrase, and paste them into the challenge setup.
- When you are ready to trade, activate the challenge with the activate control in your HyroTrader account. Paying for the challenge does not activate it, and until you do, you can cancel it and get your payment back.
BloFin does not ask for KYC (an identity check) to trade the demo account, and we check your identity ourselves after you pass. Once you are connected, leave the demo balance and the key as they are. Demo Trading has Reset and Adjust Funds buttons, but changing the USDT balance or asking for extra demo funds breaks our rules. So does deleting or changing the API key.
Trade the challenge under its rules
You then trade on BloFin's website or mobile app as you would on any BloFin account, but the coin list is shorter. A BloFin challenge covers more than 80 USDT-M pairs against more than 700 on our Bybit and Hyro platforms, so check that your coins are on it. Within that list you choose your own leverage, up to 150x on BTC and ETH and lower on other pairs. Bots and scripts can trade through BloFin's demo API too, as long as the strategy is your own, while purchased or third-party systems are not allowed.
The three challenges differ in how fast they can get you funded. Zero-Step has one phase and a single minimum trading day, One-Step has one phase and five, and Two-Step adds a second, verification phase. The daily loss limit and the maximum loss are both static, which means their amounts are fixed from the starting balance. The daily limit counts down from your equity at 00:00 UTC each day, so profit made during the day never raises it. The maximum loss is a fixed floor under the whole account.
Our Profit Distribution Rule, in the second-to-last column, limits how much of the profit target one day or one trade can supply during the challenge. It never fails an account, because profit above the cap stays in the account and simply does not count toward the target. One large win therefore means you keep trading until the rest of the target is reached.
Challenge | Profit target | Daily loss limit | Maximum loss | Minimum trading days | One day or trade counts for at most | Entry payment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Zero-Step | 10%, one phase | 3% | 5% | 1 | 50% of the target per trade | Challenge Fee, $89 to $949 ($5,000 to $100,000) |
One-Step | 10%, one phase | 4% | 6% | 5 | 40% of the target per day | Refundable Challenge Deposit, $69 to $1,299 ($5,000 to $200,000) |
Two-Step | 10%, then 5% in a second phase | 5% | 10% | 5 per phase | 40% of the target per day | Refundable Challenge Deposit, $59 to $969 ($5,000 to $200,000) |
A trading day counts only when you close a trade worth at least 5 percent of the starting balance. Its result, up or down, also has to reach 1 percent of the trade's value. No challenge has a time limit, but every phase, the funded account included, needs at least one closed trade every 30 days, or the account fails for inactivity.
The One-Step and Two-Step Deposit comes back in full with your first payout on the funded account, so a failed challenge does not return it. The Zero-Step fee is returned only if you cancel before step 5, when you activate the challenge.
Pass, verify and get paid
When you reach the profit target, the review is automatic and usually takes a few hours, though it can take up to two business days. Once it passes, you verify your identity through Sumsub (an identity-check service) with a government photo ID, a selfie and proof of address. The funded account then opens on a BloFin demo account too, with a certificate that records your pass. The daily and maximum loss limits carry over to it and the Profit Distribution Rule falls away. Two exposure limits are added instead, so your total margin stays within 25 percent of the starting balance and your open positions within twice that balance.
You can request a payout once your positions are closed and at least $100 is due to you after our profit split (your share of the profit). We pay within 24 hours of a valid request, in USDT or USDC (two stablecoins pegged to the US dollar). One request covers profit of up to 5 percent of the starting balance. When the payout is paid, the balance goes back to the starting amount and any profit above that 5 percent is lost. It therefore pays to request as soon as your profit reaches the cap.
On a $50,000 One-Step account that cap is $2,500 of profit, and at our 80 percent split (the starting split on every funded account) you receive $2,000 of it. The $499 Refundable Challenge Deposit comes back in full alongside that first payout, so you receive $2,499 in all. On One-Step and Two-Step we can raise the split to 90 percent at our discretion.
Choosing your route
BloFin makes the most sense if you already trade there, live in a country it accepts and find your coins on its demo list. If you would like to rehearse the setup first, the free trial runs on BloFin too, for a week, under rules of its own and with no payouts.
If you want a wider coin list and Bybit is available where you live, a Bybit challenge works the same way on a separate exchange. The step-by-step Bybit guide covers that setup in order. If BloFin's terms rule you out, the Hyro platform needs no exchange account at all, and the overview of every trading platform sets the five side by side.
When your BloFin demo account is ready, choose your challenge and account size and select BloFin as your platform during setup.
Note: the prices and rule figures above are our published list values as of October 2026, and the pair counts and the country list are BloFin's own from the same month. The trading rules page carries the official, current version of every limit. Read it before you plan a challenge or a payout around any number here.
